Gibraltar Foundation Invests in Eastway911
Carleton Place, Ontario, December 17, 2014 - Gibraltar Foundation, a private equity group, today announced that it had recently made a growth equity investment in Eastway911 Emergency Vehicles (Eastway911™), a Canadian company specializing in the manufacturing of high quality Fire Trucks and Emergency Vehicles. Terms of the investment were not disclosed.
Since manufacturing its first Fire Truck in Ottawa, Ontario, in 1973, Eastway911 has built over 1,300 trucks for customers on 4 continents. The company designs and builds new custom ‘built-to-order trucks’ as well as stocks a large inventory of new and pre-owned units ready for immediate delivery. Their customer base includes Municipalities, Fire Districts, and aviation, mining and petrochemical customers.
Gibraltar Foundation, founded in 1981, focuses on investments in specialty industrial manufacturing and distribution businesses having well established market positions and significant growth opportunities. Gibraltar has substantial experience in the transportation and safety products industries spanning over 30 years.
